Famile Arslan, a lawyer, who voluntarily wears a headscarf for religious reasons, said in the programme Pauw and Witteman, which discusses free choice. that women who wear the niqaab or burqa do so volutarily and that for this reason the burqa should not be prohibited. Prohibiting the niqaab or burqa would mean that Muslem women could no longer go outside, contends Famile Arslan. A nice contradiction: “I wear voluntarily a headscarf for religious considerations”. How voluntary it is we can see in the small film:

This could be happening just down the road from where you live. Of course we must accommodate this kind of thing for the sake of community cohesion.
